What do you think should happen/ will happen to the millions raised by the public to fund the Mccanns European vacation/ search if Maddie is found dead in this wasteland? I dont mean to be callous but I hope the family dont pocket it all. Especially after refusing to use that money on private investigators! Thousands of people lose family members to murder and dont get a penny. Personally the family should donate it all to charity if Maddie is found and not alive.

Although lots of people lose their children no-one can deny that this particular case has been very heart wrenching. The parents will never get over the guilt of leaving her while they ate, no matter how close they were or no matter how often they checked on her.

I think they pledged a couple of weeks ago to donate it to childrens charities.
Their only obligation to donate is a moral one. So maybe some catholic charities might benefit. And the contributions would be tax deductable too then :-)
you are right... maybe the missing persons charity... but in the end they will more the likely set up their own, as most people do... i just hope that they will not have to do this and that maddie is alive and well... (i have kids)... it is sad but there are also 1000's of other children who go missing and dont even get a mention in the local paper... so maybe they will do something to address this...
Donate to the missing persons helpline. If Maddie is found dead, then perhaps allow some for funeral costs and donate the rest to MPH as there are thousands of people who disappear without a trace, and I'm sure that her parents would want to help others in their search for their absent loved ones.
I hope Maddie is found - whether alive or dead, as the not knowing must be destroying her parents. If she's found dead, it will offer them some closure and they can begin to grieve. While it would be great for her to be found alive, realistically, I don't believe there's much chance of that now.
I agree, I feel I am being cynical but they do seem to be dashing all over the place, is this really necessary?
The question is false and simply fuels the hate campaign. Will you please forget the money? it is not the McCanns money.
