Lynch Mob.?

A mob inTexas have just beaten a man to death after his driver ran into a child. In New Zealand a month ago a drunken youth ran into a crowd;killing two teenage girls. He has got a stiff jail term. But at least is still alive. It doesn't say much for America. What do you think?
Answers:
It happened in Texas. That should be explanation enough for anyone.

These days I'm just too damned embarrassed to call myself American.
don't mess with texas
There are no murders in New Zealand... incredible.

Is this a serious question.?
My opinion, though I am quite liberal is... if a lot more people had public executions and lynchings, there would be a lot less murder, rape, and molestation.

If something is accidental... I don't see a reason to lynch them. Yet if someone PURPOSELY kills people, why not afford them the same luxury?
providing the child had minor injuries and the man killed was the passenger not the driver and the driver stopped to make sure she was ok where were her parents at? yes it says whole lot for america
i think both situations are sad. while taking the law into your own hands is usually a bad thing, i understand the feelings that caused it. all i can say is may God have mercy on the soul of anyone that killed one of my sons, because i won't
The reason we don't have lynchings is the whole fair trial thing. I don't think it says much about America one way or the other. I think it says that some morons in Texas took the law in their own hands. The real "test" will be when the murderers go to trial, what kind of sentence they get.
**** happens. I wouldn't remember or recognize any body angry like that. People die, often; At least that clumsy fool knew there was a reason.
What is a stiff jail term?

I could easily understand this happening in California except for the woosy mind set. We have capital punishment in this state and the only way to die on death row is by committing suicide. No kidding, the suicide count since the death penalty was reinstated has surpassed the number of executions during the same time period. A significant number of the inmates have been alive longer on death row than their victims had lived prior to the inmate's killing them.

There are some Americans who are tired of the this sort of stuff. The cops only catch people robbing donut shops, the courts are impotent and in California life without parole is 16 years in at least one case.

This person would spend four or five years on bail before his trial. By that time all the witnesses would have diminished memories if they weren't dead. In the off chance some DA actually got a conviction they would spend another five years out on bail awaiting appeal.

Sir, justice delayed is justice denied. As an earlier answer said, may God have mercy because I won't.

And trust me, at my age, life without parole is no big deal.

This will probably endear me to all the liberals out there but oh well, such is life.
Don't get me wrong, I love New Zealand, but how can you make such a comparison? The facts of these two scenarios are completely different. And I don't see this as a social commentary of any kind. Besides, why don't you bring up the fact that New Zealand tried to change the sexual consent age to 12? Is it still such a utopia?
ermm, i sent you an email..but its alright if you dont wanna reply. i just thought i should tell you incase you didnt see it.
