How is Jack guilty for Piggy and Simon's death?

well jack was sort of involved in simon's death when they all danced around the fire and started chanting and then viciously stabbed simon to death.
i dont really remember how he was guilty or responsible for piggy's death though..
jack is guilty because he is a role model to the other boys in his tribe and on the island in general. he influences the boys to bad behavior and makes them believe they can do whatever they want without the consequences.
